TREND ALRET: Mirrored and Neon

It’s no secret that the 80’s are making a comeback, at least the retro colors and shapes of trending Spring 2017 sunglasses. This year, the more outlandish and eccentric the accessories are, the more “hot off the runway” your style will be.

My favorite way of incorporating these trendy neons is pairing it with a neutral, layered outfit. In the picture above, our Texas weather decided to be difficult and what looked like a perfect 75 degree day was actually a chilly 45 with high winds, great day to have good hair. In a scramble to find a cute, relatively warm, brunch outfit I combined Free People high-waisted black flare jeans, a cotton blouse from Urban Outfitters, and a vintage-inspired leather jacket from Anthropologie. I try not to let myself get sucked into the decision of making a hot trendy item into an investment purchase; my gold-framed rose gold Madison sunglasses from Thrifter.

So y’all, channel your inner 80’s rocker chick and go out and find your favorite neon or rose gold tinted lenses and some geometric frames. The crazier the better people! Embrace the fun, bright colors and go for it.
